Device Function – Test Connectivity

Make sure you have completed following session(s)

l Setup New Device

In ecPayroll system, usually one or more timeclock devices are connected. To test the devices are connected well or not, user can follow the steps below to run the test:

Steps

1. Click the [Device Management] button from the main screen toolbar.

2. Select 1 or more device(s) that are going to be tested connectivity. Please note that only the devices which are connected by TCP/IP network can be tested.

3. Click the button [Test Connection] to start testing. Actually, the test was performed by sending “PING” command to the device. Make sure your network has not blocked this command or otherwise the test results failed.
